This past Friday, all the art classes took a field trip to Atlanta for the Dali Exhibit at the High Museum of Art! I must say, Dali is an incredible artist. Art is incredible, period. :) I've never been to a museum before, so it was a pretty good experience.
- -It's finally Thanksgiving break! Eat lots of turkey! :)
Gratitude - Nicole Nordeman
- instrumental version. :)
"We'll give thanks to You with gratitude . . "
Send some rain, would You send some rain?
'Cause the earth is dry and needs to drink again
And the sun is high and we are sinking in the shade
Would You send a cloud, thunder long and loud?
Let the sky grow black and send some mercy down
Surely You can see that we are thirsty and afraid
But maybe not, not today
Maybe You'll provide in other ways
And if that's the case . . .
And if that's the case . . .
(Chorus)
We'll give thanks to You
With gratitude
For lessons learned in how to thirst for You
How to bless the very sun that warms our face
If You never send us rain
With gratitude
For lessons learned in how to thirst for You
How to bless the very sun that warms our face
If You never send us rain
Daily bread, give us daily bread
Bless our bodies, keep our children fed
Fill our cups, then fill them up again tonight
Wrap us up and warm us through
Tucked away beneath our sturdy roofs
Let us slumber safe from danger's view this time
Or maybe not, not today
Maybe You'll provide in other ways
And if that's the case . . .
Bless our bodies, keep our children fed
Fill our cups, then fill them up again tonight
Wrap us up and warm us through
Tucked away beneath our sturdy roofs
Let us slumber safe from danger's view this time
Or maybe not, not today
Maybe You'll provide in other ways
And if that's the case . . .
(Chorus)
We'll give thanks to You
With gratitude
A lesson learned to hunger after You
That a starry sky offers a better view if no roof is overhead
With gratitude
A lesson learned to hunger after You
That a starry sky offers a better view if no roof is overhead
And if we never taste that bread
Oh, the differences that often are between
What we want and what we really need
What we want and what we really need
So grant us peace, Jesus, grant us peace
Move our hearts to hear a single beat
Between alibis and enemies tonight
Or maybe not, not today
Peace might be another world away
And if that's the case . . .
Move our hearts to hear a single beat
Between alibis and enemies tonight
Or maybe not, not today
Peace might be another world away
And if that's the case . . .
(Chorus)
We'll give thanks to You
With gratitude
For lessons learned in how to trust in You
That we are blessed beyond what we could ever dream
In abundance or in need
And if You never grant us peace
With gratitude
For lessons learned in how to trust in You
That we are blessed beyond what we could ever dream
In abundance or in need
And if You never grant us peace
But Jesus, would You please . . .

Oh! Today my parents bought me a heater for my super cold room! I am oh, so VERY thankful. :) They said "Happy Later Birthday!" :) I'm so happy! I can finally wake up to a warm room in the mornings & I wouldn't have to use my mom's blow dryer to warm me up everyday before school. :) yay! -Heaven
... the only thing that kept me going today is knowing that I'll be able to sleep in tomorrow.
She must've been really tired because she woke up so early to cook for some of the TFC guys that had slept over. :)
It was her birthday yesterday. :) I said "Happy Birthday" to her and she said ". . . oh, okay." "Ok, mom, now you say Thank You!" ;) She's now 46, oh man! She still looks so young, I think so. :)
Yesterday, we stopped at wal-mart and Ranson and I bought her a set of cups and some towels. She's always complaining that she doesn't have any or what not. :)
The Halloween dress-up event was good, the food was great, and the people that actually dressed up - amazing. :) I'm glad I wasn't the only one who dressed. I thought everyone was gonna do it. It wasn't an optional thing? Oh well! So I went as Bathsheba, the one who had caused King David to sin. Then, Ranson went as "prime time" David. Kinda gross/weird, haha! - but in my opinion, Ranson did well with his costume. He did all he could possibly do, out of everything/anything he had. haha! :)

* Even though they were all blurry, I still liked them. They captured all of our laughs. :) |
