1. Complete the first steps in getting a passport. Yes, I figured that I may as well get it just to have it, but also if I need to travel out of country for any reason ... then I'd already have it done! Ha! Seriously though, I pretty much just want to make sure that I have it.
2. Read 3 books this month. I'm working on a few right now. Still on Sacred Marriage by Gary Thomas, Treasuring God in our Traditions by Noel Piper, and either Biblical Doctrine by MacArthur (which is more like a study book kind of book, but I think it'd be interesting) or two other books that I'm debating over. There are so many good books, but since I'm not totally a reader to begin with, I'm quite slow at it. :)
3. Exercise 3x a week. It's hard to get back into the groove after I've been out for a long time. I realized today that I got way too winded over a case of stairs and yep, getting exercise needs to be a priority ... especially when your mother in law is forever cooking good food every day.
4. Post a blog 2x a week. Yep, because you girls said it, I'm doing it. I think it's a great idea since we don't always have time to update either, so I'm making it a goal to hopefully update on my life more often.
LIFE AS OF LATE // an update
1. I just finished my first week of training/work. Whew, I'm pooped ... but I love it and I'm thankful for this job.
2. I experienced my first official "adulting" experience today as I filled out paperwork for work. My tax paperwork as well as taking a drive out to the clinic to get some shots and stuff. It was definitely a foreign feeling and I was nervous since it was my first time driving out alone on these new roads.
3. The other week, Jeffrey and I got the name change.
4. We also joined bank accounts and we're now one - according to the bank!
5. For the second time, I went to the BMV (not the DMV here - yep, it's with a b) and I finally passed the knowledge exam to get my license renewed to get my new name down. I was so relieved to pass.
6. After months of travel and zero exercise, we're making the decision to join a gym because we want to be healthy and lead a healthy lifestyle for our future kiddos!
7. Christmas seems to come earlier and earlier for me each year. It's hitting so hard right now and I can't wait! I'm already planning gifts and decor ideas. Currently, my favorite go-to Christmas song has been "It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas" by Michael Buble. I'm especially excited to experience the cooler weather here.
8. This past weekend, we got the wonderful opportunity to serve/attend the heart conference. It was held at a beautiful spot in Ohio, but I had a difficult time being all there and I'm not even sure why!
9. As school is rolling around for those back home, I'm starting to miss it. This feeling is so weird! It's like you want to go back, but you don't either. Basically, FOMO. :(
10. I'm so thankful for the weekends. I'm so glad it's the weekend!!!!
