Last week I got to see my family in Georgia and it was so good for my heart! It was honestly hard to come back and realize the fact that we are so far from those we love because so much has changed since. This idea of leaving your family to be with your husband is so hard and sometimes I wonder why it had to be this way. Haha! Perhaps it's more than leaving your family, but maybe the Lord is teaching me that I need to not only trust Him with myself but to also trust Him with my family. While it does get easier over time, I'd say that the goodbyes, in general, suck. Anyway, I'm glad to say that we'll be making many more visits in the future!
Things I l o v e d . . .
+ Seeing my family!
+ Support from Jeffrey. He was literally helping the entire time and I was the one sitting and watching. Haha!
+ Making actual visits to see other family and friends.
+ Playing games with my siblings. The older I get, the less I want to go out and do things and the more I want to just stay in and just be together (because our time is truly so short).
+ Loved getting to celebrate Victoria and Chu's baby with a gender reveal! I'm so happy for you, Vic, that you'll be bringing in a sweet baby girl into this world! I know you two are going to love her so well!
+ Country music! Since moving to the midwest, I stopped listening to country music and forgot how much I loved it! Country music brings me back to southern roots ... hehe!

Happy July!
+ I'm officially and finally on Summer break and I am totally living for this! I always knew I was introverted and mellow, but I don't think I fully acknowledged it until I got married. I was (still am) so okay with just chilling with Jeffrey for long periods of time. However, Jeffrey has to go in to work still, so all this alone time is truly giving me life. Haha!
+ We just celebrated our first anniversary two weeks ago (a post more on this later) and we spent it with others. After church, we went to get some boba and Mexican food with friends. Then, watched the movie "Tag" with other friends. Super fun! The movie was .... okay though. Kind of long and dragged out in my opinion, but still funny (a lil' raunchy though).
+ I got to catch up with sweet friends over coffee and bagels this past weekend and it was so encouraging to my soul. No walls, no barriers, but just talk about life and Jesus and everything in between. Such a blessing.
+ I miss my family, but we purchased tickets to go see them later this month (for an entire week)! I can't wait to do all the things, take all the pictures, and create alllll the memories! I may or may not be a wreck when it's time for me to leave them again. Haha!
+ I've recently gotten into reading again and I'm making a long list of books I want to purchase! I'm gonna make my way through the ones I still have yet to finish and then we'll move forward. I've already messaged my sister to send me a box of her old books asap! haha. Not too sure what sparked my wanting to read again, but I'm excited for it. haha.
Hope you all enjoyed you're 4th of July! Jeffrey and I spent it at church with our church fam! We had some bomb food and played volleyball. We didn't intentionally go to watch fireworks, but we got to see a ton of them in the sky.
Galatians has been a timely read for me as it's what everyone seems to be studying (we even studied it at church yesterday) as well. It's actually a perfect reminder for the freedom we all celebrated yesterday. The greater freedom to be truly celebrated, however, is the freedom we have in Christ. Once dead in our sin, but now alive and free in Christ!
That's it!
See ya!
