NOVEMBER 2020 RECAP

11.29.2020

Happy end of November, friends. Lots of Shepherd time this month as well since I sat in quarantine for the majority of its sadly. It really wasn't how I wanted to go down, but I'm gonna choose to see it as a blessing in disguise. For a long time, I felt like I needed a break from work and all of life itself and it was absolutely granted in the way that I would have least preferred. Lol. Nonetheless, relooking at my November days and remembering that I am loved and cared for.

These are the days when we started putting a blanket on Shepherd because we kept our window open at night. He surprisingly loves it even though he's far from being a cuddly dog. I think it's the cutest.

We picked up Austin's dog from the vet after he got neutered. The vets kept saying he was a little drowsy and sleepy, but he was exactly the same - lively and energetic if not more. Lol.

Told you - so many dog photos. It seems the bigger I get in this pregnancy, the more Shepherd wants to stick around me and cuddle like this. Like I said, he's not a cuddler, y'all, but this is cute. Just three more months of this and he'll be sleeping on his own. It makes me sad that he'll no longer be sleeping in the same room with us. Lol.

Sweet baby poppin' out! This 2nd semester has been crazy enjoyable. The back pain has subsided a ton in this trimester, baby has moved so much more and Jeff finally got to feel him move around. I LOVE IT.

This is Jeff everyday. He heats up food and waits for me to come home for lunch break. These are moments I'm gonna hold on to and remember forever because I know it won't always look like this.

Celebrating Andrew and Lia's new home!

We put up our playpen because we needed a storage area to put all of baby's things for now. Ha.

Again, so cute. HAHA. Some may think otherwise, but I was once there in that place. Lol.

Oh yes, officially in quarantine. I'm thankful though that it isn't any worse because I know it could be. Thankful that it hasn't affected my pregnancy and baby!

Since quarantine and catching the vid, we started back on our zooms for church again.

There ya have it! Happy end of November!

11.27.2020

How far along: 25 weeks with baby! Can't believe how fast time
Gender: boy!
Weight gain: YEP!
Maternity clothes: I've been quarantining so it's been a switch out between pjs and leggings. I just made another purchase of pjs from Black Friday.
Stretch marks: Just the ones at the bottom of my belly.
Best moment of the week: Talking to my family on thanksgiving day.
Worst moment of the week: Not getting to do anything...quarantine can be a litttttle rough.
Miss anything: Getting to leave my room! AHH.
Movement: So much movement and it never gets old!
Cravings: I'm so tired of food these days!
Looking forward to: The day Jeff and I can go out freely again. haha!

OCTOBER 2020 RECAP

11.10.2020

Can y'all believe October has come and gone?! October was such an exciting month for me ... lots of birthday celebrations, our anatomy scan, we found out the gender, and made our first big purchase for baby.

Jeff preaching. We are currently walking through Psalm 119 at church. These days, I'm finding myself learning so much from him.

A little behind the scenes of our maternity shoot. I love the ease and simplicity of it. It only took us 30 mins max.

How cute is this lil' baby yoda?! I can't get over how big he's already getting.

We decided to announce our pregnancy. It was so sweet to hold this treasure all to ourselves, but we felt so much love and support from friends and family as well.

Jeff's first time getting to go with me to an appointment. This was our anatomy scan which was so dang cool to see/watch baby for like an hour. We saw all of his body parts and everything looked great. My OB said everything came back normal so praise the Lord for that.

Shepherd yearning to go outdoors.

The sweetest. I'm so curious to know how Shepherd will act when the boy comes around.

Shepherd has been doing this thing where he'll grab our clothes if it's sitting on the bed and he wraps himself in. I think he finds comfort in that .... unsure.

Anyway, I'm glad I'm caught up with these monthly recaps so I can start sharing in real time. I hope you all have

SEPTEMBER 2020 RECAP

Hello, September! I am realizing now that I don't have many updates from the month. This month, I found myself struggling a lot at home with what felt mostly like internal struggles. It was the kind of month that I wanted to hurry up so that we could get into the holidays. Lol. So be warned, a lot of photos with Shepherd because that's all I'm taking photos of these days. Haha.

We celebrated Shepherd's one year with a bowl full to the brim of his favorite foods - mangos, cheese, and chicken!

I felt pretty big here, but I laugh at this photo since I'm a lot bigger now. Lol. It's just crazy to see the growth. Never not gonna be amazed at it.

Taking Shepherd to the vet...yet again. He's been having a ton of stomach issues and the vet thinks it's due to his raw diet which saddens us because the raw makes his hair/poop really good, but I think the vet thinks that he was lacking other nutrients even with the raw diet. I do, too. We've transitioned him to kibble since then and he hasn't been sick in a while. We may even consider a half raw/half kibble diet. :)

This little poof is Shepherd's spot. He loves to sit on it and he gets back rubs.

AUGUST 2020 RECAP

Oh, August. The first trimester symptoms finally subsided for the most part and the best part of all of August ... I got to see my family! It was a fun-filled weekend with Chris/Sunny and Ian and Mia. We took them to the zoo which was actually my first time at the zoo as well. Ha! We tried a ton of different food spots and just enjoyed long conversations with them. I forgot what it felt like to have good conversations again. Haha.

Still reading our book ... one chapter at a time.

Ian was too excited for the water. We are awful people and took him when the water had already shut off. We caught the leftover water that was still pouring and he loved it still. I can't wait for our own little boy!

We had a girl's night --- it was so needed. I loved staying up late and waking up even later the next day.

Cutie boy.

Ian really hated haircuts. Lol.

Excuse my puffy face, but this was my first time meeting Mia in person. She's a whole chunk of cuteness.

Jeff cleaning out Lola before the weekend.

Throwback to our church services that we had on zoom. I'm very much over those days. Haha.

JULY 2020 RECAP

Wrapping up the summer and heading into "fall" mode was a real kicker, but alas, we are here and before we get any further into the year, I wanted to make sure that I was up to date with my recaps for my own sake. July was an incredible month for many reasons. Jeff and I celebrated one month of having baby and we got to hear baby's heartbeat for the first time ever. I can't even begin to explain what that feeling is like when you've gone through it once but never got to hear a heartbeat. The sound of life inside of you is insane ... in a good way and I'm so so thankful.

We also made our one big trip for the year to CO for Esther's wedding which was so refreshing. It made me think about how long it had been since we've all been together. It was also nice to just get away for a while.

Catching what was supposed to be the last of summer, but it stayed hot for a long time. Shepherd had so much fun though roaming and exploring the park.

The most baby and almost non-existing bump at 5 weeks along. Pretty sure this was the day I found out. Lol.

Road trippin' to CO. Longest drive ever and not sure I will ever willingly make the road trip again. Haha!

Rehearsal day for Esther's wedding.

The calm before the storm -- but there was no storm.

Our first appointment! I was incredibly nervous, but felt so much peace from the Lord and friends and family that were praying for me. I wish Jeff was there to experience it with me.

Reading a book together that has been real good as we prepare for parenthood!
