Cooler weather and a little Ikea shopping

10.12.2017

Thursdays are my days off and it's literally an adventure every time whether we stay home or go out. Today, Nyaaj Lig wanted to take a look at the new IKEA that finally opened up down the street. It's only the second day since it's opened up and everyone's going crazy about it, but why wouldn't they? I mean, I'm already anticipating tons of trips to IKEA in the near future ... because I literally had so much fun. Never realized how much fun a store could be. Ha.

Anyway, on another note, I wanted to begin capturing more things from my life and placing it here so that I can look back and remember what I was doing year ago or so, etc. hence the little blog change/update-ish and the effort into more photos. As I was sitting on my floor the other day, I thought to myself, "We haven't been married for that long, but I already feel like time is just flying by!" And I just don't want to miss any of it so I'm going to capture it all one way or another.

I've gotten into thrifting a ton. There's a goodwill right next to my work place (convenient and dangerous) and I go there on my lunch break sometimes. I found a ton of hidden treasures ... or just stuff and it's been so nice. Haha. This knit cardigan I thrifted and finally busted it out of my closet today since the weather hit the 50s today. This crisp fall air makes me jump for freakin' joy because I love fall/winter/holidays! I'm so awkward and basic. Haha!

I can't wait to have my own home! Jeffrey and I have started thinking a lot about our future which includes topics along the lines of ... a new home, babies, budgeting, ministry, everythang. And it's been exciting. I find that I'm starting to think more about things that I wouldn't normally think of such as ... kitchen essentials, baby necessities (for the future okay!), and creating traditions!

We went in not expecting to buy anything and came out with a bag full of throw blankets, Christmas cookie cutters, a Christmas advent calendar, a seat cushion, and some wrapping paper. Nyaaj Lig bought everyone throw blankets and I finally got a knitted one that I've been wanting. It's looking super nice on our bed.

We checked out a new pho restaurant as well and to my surprise, it wasn't all that bad. It was a little pricy for a bowl, but it'll do. The guys didn't have any bad things to say about it and they love pho, so I think it was a decent spot.

*creepy*

And then we ended this little adventure with a stop at Starbucks. Ordered the PSL because Fall and also so I can cross it off my fall bucket list. Just trying to remember the little things in life! And now, I'm off to pack for my little weekend trip back to good ol' Georgia.

That's all, folks.
