We made a very quick trip to Minnesota to allow my mother-in-law some time to hang out with her sisters. It turned out to be a nice little get-away for our family as well. We didn't have any plans, really, but it turned out to be kind of relaxing for us, so for memory's sake, I wanted to include this on as one of our travel highlights from the summer.
Our first time trying Bonchon. The chicken was rather spicy, but it definitely lived up to the hype.
This was our first time being out on a trip by ourselves as a new family. There are so many things that run around in my mind when I think about this family …. my family! All my life, it's just been my parents who took care of me and so I never really worried when going out and about, but now going out looks a little different. It's different for me to be on the other side thinking about whether or not we have everything for Noah, whether or not we need to get this or that, etc - I'm still learning even as I write today. I find myself forgetting things or dressing Noah up in shorts when it's so cold outside to which I find myself responding, "geez, I'm the worst mom" - thankfully there is grace for that! Haha! Being his mom has been a sweet reminder of the grace we have in Jesus and for that, I'm so so thankful.
Sweet lil' finger sucker! Noah was only 3 months here and he was already ready to explore all the things. Poor guy's sleep schedule was so messed up this week, but he was a trooper and ended up sleeping all through the night one of the nights we stayed there.
We made a quick trip to see Noah's great-grandma who was buried here. It was a super special moment to get to bring Noah here.
And alas, sleeping in the car because #overtired.
