Life as I know it ...
1) Running, running. On my way to being healthy and ... skinny! haha. I'm so happy & glad that everyone in my life is taking a step toward healthiness and ... better bodies. ;) I keep telling myself, "America's getting skinny ..." 'cause everyone's trying to get fit and what not ... but I never know. ;) I'm excited though. I've done more exercises in the one summer alone than all other summers compared .. probably. By the end of this school year, I'm kinda expecting great things ---- but it all comes from effort! It's kind of like a "trend". Right now, everyone wants to get into shape ... so everyone's going to do it. haha.
2) School starts up again on Monday! I can't believe this is my last full week of summer ... it's kinda weird. I do like that I'll have something going on in my life again though. This whole summer felt like .... I had nothing going on in my life - literally. I'm excited too 'cause it'll be my senior year - the year I've been waiting for since I started high school! I can't imagine ever having to start again. Middle school years were the worst and unfortunately, my little brother still has so far to go. It's crazy how time has flown ... but I'm kinda glad it's moving along. :) Moving along steadily, it is. I think I'm excited for school to start so I can hurry up can get it over with! Graduation day will be so exciting. :)
Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

When running ...
1) Always run on the right side
2) When you have made eye contact, smile or say hi!
When I went running the other day, I made eye contact with at least four people. It's awkward to look at someone and not say hi. haha.

- Mom and I made cabbage rolls today - the correct way! They were tasty, filling, and not fattening at all!
- Had a great nap!
- Was able to wake up early this morning! 7:30am -- what a record! :)
Plans for tomorrow:
- go running, hopefully!

I like the mornings ... I do! I'm just not a morning person. I love waking up to the morning scent and the sky with what's left over of the sunrise and if there are clouds, they look as if they're whispering. Plus, in the summer time, the morning is the only time where you'll truly enjoy the weather without the blazing heat against your skin. Now, the thing that makes me think I don't like the mornings are: 1) having to wake up for school on an early, early morning 2) waking up with little sleep from the night before or 3) not even waking up in time to actually have a "morning". It's too sad. I need to make it a habit to wake up early ... but waking up early doesn't seem to run in the family. ;)

When do the stars shine? At night? They shine all the time, but you can clearly see them shining at night when it is dark.
Sometimes God will allow the circumstances in your life to go dark, so He can shine forth His brilliance in your life. - Pastor Steven Furtick

If you know me, then you'd probably know that I'm not the greatest at cooking and it's probably because I don't like to cook -- nope! I'm so sad that it's labeled as the "girl's job" and so all the guys just wait until she's finished to eat and that's it ... and she also has to wash the dishes?! haha. (Hopefully my future husband will like to cook so we can cook together and learn together!) Whenever I cook for my brothers, I always hope that they'll like love it and exclaim how good it is ... but rarely does that ever happen. haha. Some people are just real good at some things, and others are not. It is what it is.
I haven't had a satisfying meal in so long and now I know why. A "not-so-satisfying" meal tastes bland at times, but doesn't leave me feeling bad for eating it and a super great yummy meal leaves me regretting the fact that I even thought about eating it ... which then leaves me feeling horrible! ;) haha. I try to remain thankful for what I do have though ... given just enough each day.
I really wanted to try out the cabbage rolls today but we didn't have any cabbage, we had lettuce. So I used some other kind of veggie to wrap it up and long story short ... they turned out okay. Instead of steaming it - like I should have done - I boiled it up and uh, it was very watery. I used chicken though instead of ground beef (I don't know, I just saw in the youtube videos ...). Chicken is healthier anyway! :) In all my life, I just realized today that you can totally get creative with cooking! It doesn't really matter if you know this or that ... as long as it tastes good, right? ;) Plus, mostly everything goes well together!
Anyway, that's it.

One of the stamps that I have ... "You are loved ... " I love this saying 'cause it's true. Even when you feel like you have no one, as if no one loved you, know that you're definitely loved by our God most high!
It's been quite a productive Monday. I started my day today by cooking for a house full of nine boys + my dad. I don't know why I didn't think ahead of time when they were already here last night. I had to quickly think of something to cook and fast! So for pops, I made the typical kind of food he'd eat ... and for the boys, I made curry! *big laugh here.* I've never made it on my own before --- like on MY OWN, despite the fact that we've had curry for dinner so many times! My mom made it this past weekend and all I did was prepare the meat for her and so as I was trying to think of which step was next ... well, I didn't know. haaa. I called my mom at work (her first day at her new job!) and asked her real quick! haha. In my defense, it was great considering we didn't even have the major ingredients. So yummy.
I pulled out my crafty card making book today! I bought it a while back and was so excited to receive it in the mail, but surprisingly, I've never really looked at it ever since. So today, I borrowed some ideas from it and these are the cards I made today (I'll be sending them off tomorrow, if I remember!) ... I decided to just make cards incorporating the one flower stamp. There are endless possibilities in crafting cards.
I love DIYs. I recently found a new DIY blog through 'bloglovin' and I loveeee it! You can check it out here: http://www.ispydiy.com/ ... and here's another DIY blog that I enjoy: http://honestlywtf.com/ ... I've been on a kick with diys and so I started with these bracelets. It's fun to wear what you make and it saves money, too. ;)
Here's what I made for dinner ... not exactly the tastiest because of the bitterness, but it definitely looks good. These have inspired me to make "cabbage rolls" tomorrow and I'm so excited! I've looked up a couple of "How to make cabbage rolls" videos on youtube and I think you can just get totally creative with it! Add whatever spices you want and rice if you want, anything! So! I'm gonna get creative, alright. ;)
This past Sunday, I had the chance to catch up with Maggie, Lala, and Karissa and might I add that it was so great to catch up again! We found out that both Maggie and I hate cooking (or are just not good at it) and both Lala and Karissa love it! I wished I loved it. I'd look forward to cooking everyday! ;)
Finally, here are the cards that I'll be sending out. No one sends anything through mail anymore and it's sad. I love getting mail. Everything is just that much more meaningful. Maybe I'm just so old fashioned but I blame my sister ... I'm so much like her. haaha. :)
On a different note, the youth will have to opportunity to lead p&w with the coordinator this weekend and I'm so excited for it! I pray/hope/think it'll just be an awakening not only for us, but for the congregation as well. The officers and I have just been talking about p&w lately and how it's so dead and dry. Grace & I were mentioning how praise and worship should be called genuine worship instead because if anyone's going to lead it, then it should be led with genuine faith looking to only glorify God through it. Yeah, just a thought ... haha. :D
His mercies are new every morning! (Lamentations 3: 23)
Relationships, please be Christ-centered. I'm finding out new things everyday ... and sometimes it's not a good thing, but I hope & pray that that is every believers intention in courtship. In the car today, my brother, cousin, and I had the longest conversation about relationships and how they just lose their identities in each other. Lead your relationship with Christ at the core.
I read this about a week or so ago and I find myself reading it over and over again ...
The Lord merely spoke and all the heavens were created.
He breathed the word, and all the stars were born.
He assigned the sea its boundaries and locked the ocean in vast reservoirs.
Let the whole world fear the Lord, and let everyone stand in awe of Him.
For when He spoke, the world began!
It appeared at His command.
- Pslams 33:6-9
I love this because in words, it just shows how great our God is and how powerful He is! It says that the heavens were created and all He did was speak ... all He did was speak. Knowing this, aren't we so glad that God is for us and not against us? :)

Master Toudo, Master G, Lil Mengo, Bang Gigi, Heaven Risin, Grace Khan, Reason Cheesen ... cool names, I know ... ha-ha.
Reason and I's shoes. The green ones are so ugly. haaaa.
He's so funny! He starts from the back and runs to the line, then let's go of the bowling ball. Too funny! He was getting so mad because none of his balls were hitting the pins. That's why we told him to get those bunker things or whatever they're called. :)
His first time bowling ... if he stayed at 6 points, he would've been so mad! *whew.
