I haven't had a satisfying meal in so long and now I know why. A "not-so-satisfying" meal tastes bland at times, but doesn't leave me feeling bad for eating it and a super great yummy meal leaves me regretting the fact that I even thought about eating it ... which then leaves me feeling horrible! ;) haha. I try to remain thankful for what I do have though ... given just enough each day.
I really wanted to try out the cabbage rolls today but we didn't have any cabbage, we had lettuce. So I used some other kind of veggie to wrap it up and long story short ... they turned out okay. Instead of steaming it - like I should have done - I boiled it up and uh, it was very watery. I used chicken though instead of ground beef (I don't know, I just saw in the youtube videos ...). Chicken is healthier anyway! :) In all my life, I just realized today that you can totally get creative with cooking! It doesn't really matter if you know this or that ... as long as it tastes good, right? ;) Plus, mostly everything goes well together!
