Good Friday

Indeed, it was a good Friday.

Yesterday, as I was walking down the yellow tinted hallways at school, I caught myself either singing or humming the song "The Well" by Casting Crowns. To be more specific, the lines that went, "Leave it all behind, leave it all behind ... " 

You know, I woke up this morning just so thankful for what Jesus did on the Cross for us. Can you even imagine where we would be today if it weren't for Jesus Christ? He was beaten and bruised in hatred, and when up on that Cross, He was dying for our sins. It still boggles my mind as to why He would do such a thing. Jesus was so perfect and He could have chosen to live on that way - but what a selfless man to have given His life to fulfill the will of God. Because of Jesus Christ, we are able to have this relationship with God, the Father! We are free to struggle and we are free to live freely!

What more do we have if we don't have Jesus? He is all we need. And you know what? It's not the end, because Jesus lives! All it took was three days ...
